Electricity for Karachi is likely to be cheaper by 10 rupees 26 paisa per unit

Electric, a private organization responsible for the supply of electricity in Karachi, has submitted a request to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) to reduce the price of electricity by 10 rupees 26 paisa per unit.

K Electric's request has sought a reduction in electricity price in the context of the December 2022 monthly fuel adjustment.

The hearing on K Electric's plea in Nepra will be held on January 30.

In case of a full approval, K Electric consumers will get relief of more than 12 billion rupees.
