The nominations for the FIFA Awards have been announced by the world football organization FIFA to encourage the best-performing players in the year 2022.


14 footballers have been nominated for the FIFA Men's Player of the Year award.


The FIFA Men's Player of the Year nominees includes Argentina's star footballer Lionel Messi and his teammate Alvarez, who recently won the World Cup.


Apart from this, Mbappe Karim Benzema of France, Neymar of Brazil, Mohamed Salah of Egypt, Billingham of England, Kevin de Bruyne of Belgium, Holland of Norway, Hakimi of Morocco, Levano Duski of Poland, Mane of Senegal, Luka Modric of Croatia and Brazil K Vinesh Jr. are also the part of this list.


Portugal's star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, who won FIFA's best player award in 2016 and 2017, has not been nominated for the FIFA best player award for the first time.


Apart from this, nominations for Women's Player of the Year, Best Goalkeeper (Men's and Women's), and, Best Coaches were also announced.


It should be noted that last year, Polish striker Robert Lewandowski won the FIFA Footballer of the Year award for the second time in a row, beating Messi and Mohamed Salah.
