National cricketers condemned strongly the Peshawar blast. 'We are a brave nation'.




The former and current cricketers of the Pakistan cricket team have strongly condemned the suicide blast during the Zuhr prayer at Police Lines Mosque in Peshawar.



Yesterday, the number of martyrs, including the imam of the mosque and police personnel, increased to 63, while more than 150 people have been injured in a suicide blast during the noon prayer in the police lines mosque in Peshawar.



The outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan has claimed the responsibility for the blast in Peshawar.

The wicketkeeper-batsman of the national cricket team, Muhammad Rizwan, expressed regret over the Peshawar blast and said, "We are a brave nation, neither this tragedy can break our morale nor empty our mosques, God willing."

He said that the only question that comes to our hearts is who should we complain to, and may Allah protect Pakistan.

Shadab Khan, the all-rounder of the national cricket team, also condemned the Peshawar blast and said, "My prayers are with the people of Peshawar, this is a heartbreaking incident."


Pakistan cricket team's fast bowler Shaheen Afridi expressed his sorrow over the Peshawar incident and said, "Seeing the people of my country in pain, my heart cries, I pray that the injured people recover soon."

Apart from this, former captain Mohammad Hafeez also expressed regret over the Peshawar mosque blast.

Former captain Shoaib Malik also strongly condemned the Peshawar blast.
