The statistics agency has said that the constituencies for the upcoming elections will be based on the new census and 4.3 lakh people have done self-enumeration on the portal.


While giving a press conference in Islamabad, the spokesperson of the Statistical Institute, Sarwar Gondal, said that 126,000 tabs have been given for the census and 495 support centers have been set up all over Pakistan.


He said that the phase of self-enumeration started on February 20, during the self-enumeration UTL number is given which will be seen by the census staff. The governments of Baltistan are cooperating, and security will be provided by the police along with the army.


Sarwar Gondal said that the field operation of the census will be started across the country from March 1, NTC and NADRA are providing their services in the census, providing census staff, data location, and security is the responsibility of the provinces.


He said that the census data will be compiled by the Statistical Office, the government has given a deadline of April 30 to submit the complete results of the final census, the constituencies for the upcoming elections will be based on the new census, 43 lakh people. Have self-enumerated on the portal.


He said that the total cost of the census will be 34 billion rupees and so far the government of Pakistan has released 10 billion for the census, each census staff will be accompanied by a provincial police officer, and 86 army Thousands of soldiers, and officers will accompany us in the census.


He said that complete work has been done regarding the census of the flood victims, and 121 people have been trained for the census.
