PSL 8: Karachi set Multan a target of 168 runs to win


In the fourteenth match of the eighth edition of HBLPSL (Pakistan Super League), Karachi Kings set a target of 168 runs to win against Multan Sultans.


Karachi Kings scored 167 runs for the loss of three wickets in the allotted 20 overs.


Skipper Imad Wasim scored 14 runs and Shoaib Malik remained not out at 10 runs.


Taib Tahir, who made his PSL debut for Karachi today, played brilliant innings of 65 off 46 balls, besides Matthew Wade with 46 and James Vince with 27.


For Multan Sultans, Ehsanullah took 2 wickets while Anwar Ali took one wicket.


Sultans captain Muhammad Rizwan won the toss and invited Imad Wasim to bat in the match at the National Bank Arena in Karachi.


Talking at the time of the toss, Karachi captain Imad Wasim said about the changes in the team that Musa Khan, Taib Tahir, and Tabriz Shamsi have joined the team.


Imad said that Imran Tahir, Haider Ali, and Muhammad Umar have been dropped from the team for today's match.


The captain of Karachi Kings said that we wanted to bat first on this pitch, we have the experience of playing on the home pitch.


On the other hand, Mohammad Rizwan said that the pitch is unpredictable, so bowling has been given priority, and two changes have been made to the team.


It should be noted that Karachi Kings and Multan Sultans have played 5 and 5 matches in the event so far, of which Karachi has won only 1 while Multan has won 4.


Multan is currently leading the points table with 8 points while Karachi is at the fifth position with 2 points.
