Australian women's cricket team defeated Pakistan by 8 wickets in the first ODI match.
In the first one-day match played in Brisbane, Pakistan batted first and scored 160 runs in 40 overs for the loss of 8 wickets. Under the Duckworth-Lewis method, Australia had to score 158 runs in 40 overs.
Pakistan's Nida Dar stood out with 59 and Bisma Maheru with 28 runs. For Australia, Darcy Brown and Jonassen got 2 wickets each.
Australia won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat first.
Meg Lanning has returned to cricket after a gap of 6 months.
It should be noted that there was intermittent rain in Brisbane, due to which the match was restricted to 40 overs.
