The Lahore High Court mentions that the lawyer of Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi should inform us how much time is needed to take the vote of confidence, so we will fix a date.

The hearing on the petition against the removal of Chaudhry Parvez Elahi from the post of Chief Minister was conducted by a 5-member bench headed by Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh of Lahore High Court. Appeared in the High Court.

During the hearing, Justice Abid Aziz inquired whether the matter has not been resolved. In reply, Chaudhry Parvez Elahi's lawyer Barrister Ali Zafar said that all the issues will be resolved in the court.

The court asked what is the position now? On which the lawyer of Governor Punjab Balighur Rehman said that the court gave him enough time, his point was that adequate time was not given, the court had also opened the way for him to take a vote of confidence.

Justice Abid Aziz Shaikh remarked that Governor, Chief Minister can be asked for vote of confidence, in the end it is up to the members to decide who can become the Chief Minister. Maybe, we set a date.

Justice Asim Hafeez said that you had every opportunity to take the vote of confidence in such days, to which Barrister Ali Zafar said, I will argue on this legal point.

Barrister Ali Zafar said that Pervaiz Elahi became the Chief Minister only by taking votes, on which Justice Asim said that the Chief Minister has 24 hours, he should have the support of 186 members.

Attorney General Mansoor Usman Awan took a position in the court that it is necessary for the Chief Minister to the Chief Minister must take a take vote on the Governor's request, it is the Governor's authority to ask the Chief Minister to take a vote of confidence.

Justice Asim Hafeez said that no party is ready to touch the numbers, everyone is thinking that whoever does it first will fill it.

The Attorney General said that now the matter has come out of the appropriate time, to which Chaudhry Parvez Elahi's lawyer Barrister Ali Zafar said that he did not bring anything in writing. The Attorney General replied that no one had stopped the Chief Minister from taking the vote of confidence, what is the nfodgood of writing?

Justice Abid Aziz Shaikh remarked, "Okay, if there is no consensus, we will decide it on merit."

It should be remembered that Chaudhry Parvez Elahi had challenged the notification of removal by the Governor Punjab, on which the 5-member bench of the Lahore High Court suspended the implementation of the notification on December 23 and adjourned the hearing of the case till January 11.
