Former Iranian president Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani's daughter sentenced to 5 years in prison
Faezeh Hashemi Rafsanjani, daughter of former Iranian president Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani and social activist, was sentenced to 5 years in prison for spreading anti-state propaganda and working against national security.
Faezeh Hashemi Rafsanjani was arrested during protests across the country following the death of Mahsa Amini, a girl in custody over the issue of hijab.
They have been accused of engaging in acts against national security, spreading propaganda, and disrupting the public order situation.
