KARACHI: PP leader and provincial minister Saeed Ghani has said that in principle, the mayor of Karachi should be from PPP for which he will talk to Jamaat-e-Islami because PTI is not worthy to talk to them.

Saeed Ghani while speaking on the Geo News program 'Geo Pakistan' said that a campaign is being made that People's Party has rigged if you have evidence then go to the relevant forum.

He said that we have won 20 seats out of 30 in Malir, PPP has won 5 seats out of 37 in Korangi, and there was a protest in Central, where PPP won 5 seats out of 45 if DRO is wrong. We should have had 20 seats in Korangi instead of 5.

Saeed Ghani said that Jamaat-e-Islami has taken more seats than we expected.

He further said that the PPP has won in Hyderabad and in other areas of Sindh as well, PP has worked very hard for many years, done many works in the city, PPP's vote bank has increased in the by-elections as well, and the vote again. We have no objection to counting.

Saeed Ghani said that no one should object to our recount request, we are the single largest party, and it is our right to make the mayor, we will try our best to make the mayor of PPP come to Karachi, PTI deserves it. There is no need to talk to them, they will talk to Jamaat-e-Islami.

The provincial minister said that there is a need for further improvement in public transport in Karachi, drinking water is not available in Karachi, but efforts will be made to improve it, there are few parks for recreation for the citizens, and attention will be given to the infrastructure of the city. If there is a problem, it will also be addressed, the Safe City project is being worked on.

While thanking the citizens of Hyderabad, he said that PPP has done many development works in Hyderabad as well, they will address and solve all the problems of Hyderabad as well, the problems there are also like Karachi.

Saeed Ghani said that in principle PPP should be the mayor, the name of the mayor's candidate has not been finalized, and there will be a consultation.

Earlier, while talking to the Geo News program Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada, leader of PP said that if the People's Party were to manage the election, then he would have given victory to my brother who lost from his UC.

He said that Jamaat-e-Islami will be the first party we will contact, not ready to talk to PTI.
