This exhibition will continue from January 16 to 18 at the Karachi Expo Center and a high-level delegation from Iran will also participate in it.

In the three-day exhibition, stalls of 60 companies are being set up, including carpets, petrochemicals, chemicals, equipment used in the petroleum products industry, various types of components, polymer products, construction materials, iron and steel, and copper. Includes manufactured goods, tiles, and ceramics companies.

Mining and agriculture-related equipment, cement packaging, various types of galvanized and barbed wires, LED lamps, household electrical machinery, and decorative items will also be on display, as food items including dairy products. Many related industries will also be represented here.

Industrial goods of different countries are usually exhibited together in the expo center, but only one country rarely presents its products, presenting only Iranian products here is also an expression of Pakistan. How fast is the demand for various Iranian products increasing?

Murad Nemati, head of the trade delegation and adviser to the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, told Geo news that the purpose of the exhibition is to promote friendship between the brother countries and increase trade at the regional level.

To promote bilateral trade, two MoUs were also signed in Karachi late last year between the two countries, which related to the establishment of a joint business council and fair arbitration of commercial disputes, as well as the Karachi Chamber of Commerce. And Industry and the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce also signed a memorandum of understanding to improve cooperation in the business community.

Consul General of Iran in Karachi Hassan Noorian says that the annual volume of bilateral trade is only one and a half billion dollars, which can easily be brought up to 5 billion dollars.

Referring to the historical, religious, regional, and deep cultural relations between the two countries, Hasan Nooryan said that the absence of banking channels in the commercial relations of the two countries is surprising.

Hassan Nooryan said that new border openings between the two countries should be taken advantage of while barter trade or domestic currency should be used to remove the barrier of lack of banking channels.

It is expected that a memorandum of understanding will be signed on the occasion of this exhibition at the Expo, which will help to take concrete steps to remove the obstacles in bilateral trade.
