LAHORE: The private wheat market of Punjab crashed as soon as the government quota was increased, after which the prices also fell.


According to market sources, the price of wheat has decreased by 1200 rupees per maund, due to which 5400 wheat has come down to 4200 rupees in the open market.


Sources say that there is a possibility of a clear reduction in the prices of atta maida fine, while milled flour is also likely to decrease by 15 to 20 rupees per kg.


Apart from this, the food secretary said that today there will be a crackdown on flour storage in the province, and no one will be allowed to increase or decrease the price, operations and big operation will have to be done to reduce the prices of flour.
