General (retd) Former President of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf passed away
Diplomatic sources have confirmed the death of former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf, who was undergoing treatment at the American Hospital in Dubai for a long time.
The family of the former president has also confirmed the death of former president General (R) Pervez Musharraf.
General (retd) Pervez Musharraf assumed the post of Chief of Army Staff on October 7, 1998, on October 12, 1999, he became the Chief Executive after removing the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and was later elected as the regular President of Pakistan by holding a referendum in April 2002.
In 2004, through the 17th amendment to the constitution, Pervez Musharraf was elected as president for another 5 years, Pervez Musharraf resigned on 18 August 2008 and left the country.
