Karachi: The Sindh High Court has rejected the petition against the arrest of Dania Shah in the case related to viral videos of well-known TV anchor Aamir Liaquat Hussain.

According to the report, in front of a two-member bench headed by Justice Naimatullah Phalphoto, a plea was heard against the arrest of Dania Shah in the case of viral videos of well-known TV anchor personality Aamir Liaquat Hussain.

The petitioner's lawyer, Liaquat Gabol Advocate, stated that Dania Shah was illegally arrested from Lodhran area of ​​Punjab. Legal requirements were not met at the time of Dania Shah's arrest.

The court inquired whether the challan of the case had been collected. The petitioner's counsel submitted that the interim challan of the case has been submitted. The trial court had issued a show cause notice to the FIA investigating officer, but no action was taken. The trial court should be directed to take action against the FIA.

The court remarked that the challan of the case against the accused has been collected, and the case of interference does not arise. The court rejected the petition against Dania Shah's arrest while pronouncing a safe decision.

Remember that Dania Shah is in jail on judicial remand. Dania Shah was arrested by FIA in December 2022.
