PSL8: Gladiators set a new history by completing Zalmi's target of 241 runs
Jason Roy's century, Quetta Gladiators beat Peshawar Zalmi by eight wickets
In the 25th match of HBL PSL8 (Pakistan Super League), Quetta Gladiators created a new history by surpassing the target of 241 runs given by Peshawar Zalmi for victory.
In the match played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam won the toss and decided to bat first.
Babar Azam and Saim Ayub started the innings on behalf of Peshawar Zalmi, and both of them gave their team a brilliant start of 162 runs.
Saim Ayub got out after playing a smoky inning of 74 runs off 34 balls with the help of 5 sixes and 6 fours while Babar Azam scored his first PSL T20 century in 60 balls, he scored 115 runs by hitting15 fours and 3 sixes and run out. Rowman Powell was not out on 35 runs and Tom Koehler Cadmore scored 7 runs.
Peshawar Zalmi scored a huge target of 240 runs for the loss of 2 wickets only in 20 overs, on the other side only one wicket from Quetta's side fell to Devine Protoris.
Quetta Gladiators achieved the target of 241 runs given by Peshawar Zalmi for the loss of 2 wickets in the 19th over and created a new history in PSL.
