The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has restored the services of Wikipedia, the world-famous online encyclopedia service, in the country.

Note that on February 4, Wikipedia was blocked in Pakistan for not removing offensive content.

Yesterday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed the restoration of Wikipedia.

The Prime Minister has also established a 5-member committee headed by Federal Minister IT Aminul Haq, the committee will submit recommendations to the federal cabinet on this matter in a week.
